48 Hour Countdown - Info for new backers

Hello Exalted Essentials,
We've officially begun our 48 hour countdown to the finish. This campaign will reach it's conclusion on Thursday, June 24th at 2:00 PM EDT. If you've been thinking about joining in, now's the time!
James, getting two more days out of this outfit.
And for those who've joined in, welcome! Nothing surprising in this update, but I wanted to touch on some important links for those coming aboard for this exciting finish.
Manuscript Preview
The entire current version of the draft manuscript is available for backers to read here: Preview 1-8. That page also has the link to the Backer Feedback Form, where you can leave your comments and notes to help the developers and writers take this draft version through the next editing and development stages.
Reward Tiers and Add Ons

At $310,000 in Funding – Novella by Rai W. Cole – An awesome Exalted story will be written by Rai W. Cole and a digital edition made available to all backers.
Two more goals to carry us into our Stretch Goal review tomorrow! I'll be posting an update detailing all of the goals we've hit, maybe adding another goal to take us to the end, and breaking out how all of these additional rewards will be added to your rewards list. So, look for that review tomorrow. And let's see how close we can get to achieving one of these goals before then!

FINAL WEEK!

Hello Exalted Essentials!
Last week was Charms Week, with the big Chapter 6 manuscript preview shared in 4 sections over the course of the week. Wow, did that ever throw off my daily schedule! It turns out, I really really like routine and mixing it up even a tiny bit can get me a little off-kilter. No worries, though, it's all part of the fun!
And we're following up an exciting Charms Week with an equally exciting Final Week!
The Countdown has started!
We're officially in the FINAL WEEK of the kickstarter campaign. Over these final days I'll be sharing a handful of instruction and review-type posts about Reward Tiers & Add-Ons, Stretch Goals, and What Comes Next, so if you've got any process questions or are wondering about how the kickstarter steps work, I'm hoping to clarify any remaining questions before we finish. Of course, if you're still wondering about something, please ask and I'll help as best I can.

Tomorrow, I'll try and sneak in a preview before we get to our final Backers Only manuscript section, which will contain Chapters 7 and 8, as well as the Appendix with conversion guidelines for ExEss to Ex3 (and the other way as well) and Exigent Charm creation. That means backers will have the ENTIRE draft manuscript for the book to review prior to the campaign ending on June 24 and pledges are collected.
Between now and June 23, I'm hoping we can maybe add a few more Stretch Goal achievements to our already impressive list as we review our accomplishments and set up for our final run. A handful of really solid days will get us there. As a reminder, here's what's up next for Stretch Goal targets:
At $290,000 in Funding – Creative Team Bonus – The writing team behind the Exalted: Essence rulebook will receive an additional monetary bonus.
I'm really excited to hit that one because I think the ExEss writing team have done a fantastic job on a very challenging assignment.
The true impetus behind this post, though, is our big push during this final week! Together, we've done the hard work of this campaign - we've come together to fund the development and production of this book - so now it's time to make sure that we're not missing any potential backers.
Be an Exalted Envoy
I know, this is something I've already said many times (and seem to say during every project!), but for these final days, you are officially a duly-deputized ambassador for this Kickstarter project. We know Creation can hold a lot of Exalted fans, and it's up to us to fill it up as much as we can! Basically, we want to recruit as many interested backers as possible over this final week.
I know I end every update post with "Keep spreading the word! Invite others to join in!" - but what does that mean, and how do you do it?
Easy answer - don't stop talking about Exalted: Essence until 2:01 PM EST next Thursday June 24th (when the campaign has ended). Yes, family and friends are tired of me talking about it on our weekly Zoom check-in or grocery drop-off, but we'll have a whole new set of topics to discuss in just one week, and they've learned to tolerate me during a kickstarter campaign (at least during the pandemic). But here's the thing - there are others around who haven't heard or don't know about the campaign.
I know. As surprising as it sounds, it can feel like there's been bits of Exalted: Essence everywhere for the past three weeks. But believe me, I'm going to hear from so many people over the next few weeks that just missed out by a few days. Let's see if we can't reach them before this campaign ends.
Resources to Share
If you're inviting new backers, or if you are a new backer (hi new backers!), here are a few key resources to be aware of for this campaign.
Backers are able to review the (soon-to-be) complete manuscript for this book before the campaign closes and any pledges are processed. No need to wonder about how the various Exalted work or their Charms or Martial Arts! Know what you're getting into by checking this book out!
Backers also have the link to the Feedback Form, which will help guide the developers and writers through the next stages of editing and development!
And, if you join now, as I've noted, we'll be posting the final chapters of the book next week before we reach the finish line.
