Hello Exalted Essentials,
We're still in the earliest earliest parts of this project, with tons of runway ahead of us. But it's important to me to keep consistent and reliable with our communication, so it's time for our regular Month End update, even if it's mostly me dropping a note to wish you an early Happy Halloween!
There is one new Exalted release that I want to draw your attention to. It's using the Third Edition rules (rather than the Essence ruleset), but could still be a valuable resource for your ExEss game.
Once a year, the time of Calibration steals the lights from the night sky and weakens the barriers between Creation and otherworldly realms. Monsters and creatures from every hidden corner emerge to claim it all for their own in the eerie, timeless dark.
For five days and nights, the world remembers how it once was, when it was newly forged from chaos and humanity was not yet a scrap of thought in the eyes of its titanic makers. Wild and hungry, wondrous and deadly, a menagerie of beast and spirit descends upon Creation in its brief time of dominion to the joy and terror of all.
Blink, and you might miss it.
Hundred Devils Night Parade is a collection of Quick Characters designed for Storytellers to include in their games as antagonists, companions, familiars, and mounts, or to use as examples for creating their own creatures. It encompasses the dead, elementals, demons, things from the Wyld, ordinary animals, and stranger beasts that cannot be defined so easily.
Beginning with Chapter One: Strange Beasts, we have the beautiful-yet-horrifying Crystalmoth, which can slice with razor wings, along with its progenitor, Gajum-Un, the Living Manse. We also present the curious and enigmatic Scroll, as well as returning (and terrifying) favorite, the Thousand-Forged Dragon.
For Chapter Two: The Dead, the soul-collecting Ankou leads the way, followed by a host of other creepy delights, such as the helpful Grave Messengers and the giant, one-man army that is Keregost. Death-related beasts in this chapter include Festerwings and Scavengers, and many more besides!
In Chapter Three: Spirits, we’ve collected both elementals and demons for your game, from Ahesh the Forgotten and Charnavrix the Unyielding to Oldrasek, Audegar, and Stanewald. Excitingly, there is also an entry for Sibri, the Rampart of Serpents, a Third-Circle demon.
Chapter Four: Creatures of the Wyld has weirdness to fuel a Wyld-touched game, as the storytelling Epochine rises from Creation’s birth, and Kian-Ji, the Heartmirror invites your Exalts to an otherworldly feast. Stumbling from the Wyld, Napaxu infect people and towns, while Siren Towers lure others to their doom.
Lastly, Chapter Five: Animals has creatures to use in your game as mounts, familiars, adversaries, and even Lunar spirit shapes! From Birds of Paradise, Camels, and Dolphins to the stranger Simhatas, Mospids, Siakas, and Sthenurines, we’ve presented a range of interesting animals for all sort of purposes.

HEIRS TO THE SHOGUNATE

Harano is the state in which a werewolf finds themselves, when they succumb to despair. Hello Exalted Essentials,
Here I am sneaking in on the final day of the month to start our regular month end update process. As I've mentioned before, I'll be sending out a Status Check-in at the end of every month, just to keep communication constant and consistent and keep everyone on the same page.
We're still in the earliest stages of this post-campaign, where projects make incremental movements along the progress path. A lot of months will be pretty similar, just a quick note to let you know that the Onyx Path team is still working on it. Any time we have a new reward or something of interest to share, I'll include that as well.

That's not to say I don't have any news to share. Even as I was beginning to type this update, something came across my Twitter feed...
I don't know anything more than the info offered at the page linked to that logo (https://www.exalted-tv.com/) but it appears Exalted rights holders Paradox have struck a deal with Jenkins & Tate Entertainment to build a pitch to get Exalted set up as a TV show. There's obviously a long and involved process ahead and we may not hear any more info for a long time, but the Jenkins & Tate people are also working with Onyx Path on a similar project, building a TV show pitch for the Scion game line, and they seem like a cool group that are really passionate about the property. I'm sure they'll bring that same passion and enthusiasm to any possible Exalted venture.

Digital Reward E-mail
When sending out the first batch, it looks like there were a few crossed wires and, though these rewards are only available for those who had bought them as Add Ons, the initial redemption e-mail went out to everyone. So, a lot of people got an e-mail saying "click here for digital rewards" and then ... nothing.
Apologies for that! It's been fixed and won't happen for future distributions, and thanks to everyone who contacted me with the issue so it could get resolved. There were A LOT of items to set up on this one, and I accidentally connected Tab A with Slot B, but everything's aligned now.
PRINT-ON-DEMAND OPTIONS
Some of these rewards include Discounted Print-on-Demand options for these books. You'll see two versions available: standard and premium.
These designations reflect the printing process used in the Print-on-Demand process and NOT the book contents. The contents of the book remains the exact same regardless of which version you pick (so, this isn't the same as our standard vs deluxe editions from the kickstarter).
Standard Color uses a thick 70# white paper which has better page opacity. (that's "70 pound" for reference, but does not mean each page weighs 70 lbs!). Standard Heavyweight Color uses inkjet technology. (These are not the same inkjet printers you have at home - these are often as big or bigger than a car!) This option offers lower cost but the colors won't be as sharp or bright as a Premium Color book.
Premium Color uses the same 70# paper, but uses a digital offset press. This option offers superior color quality but is much more expensive to produce. Much much more, which is why it's nice to get these discounted links!
(Remember to login to DriveThruRPG prior to clicking or pasting the discount link in your BackerKit digital rewards locker, if you that was part of your rewards list! That link is your coupon and must be usedfor your PoD order.)
At this time, the Discounted PoD Links won't expire in 2021, so you have time to decide on an order or wait if you're looking to add additional titles (like when the Heirs to the Shogunate book is eventually released. I don't have a date, but we know it's coming at some point!)
And, one more time in case there's some confusion, only the rewards listed up top are currently available. All other rewards are in the very earliest stages of development. I'll have an overview at the end of each month listing all of the rewards and identifying what's been sent out.
